Beginning
December, 2012 and continuing through and until the rivers thaw in early
2012, Float Fishing Connection will sponsor, with the assistance and cooperation of
few select volunteers and donations from across the globe (yes, the
globe!), a several month
long steelhead seminar at Coaches' Corner Home in Painesville, Ohio.

Preliminary details, that are still
evolving, include mentoring 4-6 adolescent boys in the Painesville Harvey
High School on steelhead angling.
Our program will consist of:

The life cycle of the Manistee
strain of stocked steelhead trout
-
Knot tying
-
Fly tying for steelhead
-
Building our own steelhead rods
(2 float rods, 2 switch & 2 fly rods)

Trips to the water come spring to
tangle with the silver beasts
We've been overwhelmed by the
outpouring of support from our steelhead community, fly tying forum and
rod building forums. Consequently, we are still assembling the list
outlining the supplies and individual contributions.
